Owner of J.Kind Designs, longtime musician David Philastre stepped one foot into the digital world in 1996 when he created a website for Jeremiah’s Kind, the original rock band he’d founded. Though the band disbanded in 1999, Philastre continued to play guitar in prominent New Orleans-based bands such as Bag of Donuts, Metal Rose, Grunge Factory, and The Molly Ringwalds. David’s interest in design also continued through his freelance graphic and web design. While continuing to play music over the next two decades, Philastre broadened his talents by attending Remington College, receiving an Associates Degree in Graphic Design in 2005. In 2008 Philastre began a two-year stint as the Graphics Director at Hess Marketing, taking his skills into the corporate world. Having left Hess in April 2010, David splits his time between building his client base and recording new songs with his critically-acclaimed band, The Morning Life.
